How to prevent quenching deformation for mud pump liner
During the work time of Drilling mud pump, mud pump liner will easy appear strain, groove, peeling, leakage, cylinder and broken phenomenon because of the high-speed flow mud in the sand wear and corrosion of corrosive medium.In order to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the cylinder liner,our factory adopts Cr26 high-chromium cast iron material to form its blank, which is annealed, machined, quenched and tempered at low temperature, and its hardness is required to be greater than HRC62.However, due to the thin cylinder liner wall (6=5.5mill, 7illm), 100% of the cylinder liner is deformed to different degrees in the heat treatment, which cannot meet the assembly requirements. Additional shaping procedures must be added, which not only increases the process cost, but also leads to cracking and scrapping of part of the cylinder liner due to excessive shaping.The following methods can be used to prevent the quenching deformation of the mud pump cylinder liner:
First: oil mud pump liner to prevent the quenching deformation, should try to adopt low temperature (980 ℃), the slower cooling rate (air cooling), when the required hardness HRC > 60, Cr26 high chrome cast iron materials meet the above process of CrC 8.9 ~ 9.6.
Second: to prevent the basket structure, shape, heat radiation conditions on the workpiece, the workpiece should be removed from the basket as soon as possible, spread air cooling, but to avoid high temperature clamping caused by deformation, so to control the workpiece removed from the basket temperature range.Due to the repeated heating and cooling of the basket, the support beam welded on the bottom plate of the basket will be deformed. Therefore, the flatness of the edge of the support beam should be regularly tested and the tolerance should be kept within the allowable range through technological treatment.
